Anna came to the lab from her residency in Anesthesiology at Emory. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Science Center in San Antonio before moving to the Atlanta area. Starting in 2012, her work has primarily focused on testing the properties and effects of naturally-occurring compounds in in vivo models of neonatal inflammatory pain. She is certified in acupuncture and has a strong interest in studying acupuncture’s uses and mechanisms of action as well. She has received a FAER research fellowship grant and will be continuing her work on neonatal pain and novel medical therapies in the coming year as a fellow in the lab.
